Differences between Soft Seal Gate Valves and Hard Seal Gate Valves

date:2023-04-08 08:55
The opening and closing component of a soft sealing gate valve is the gate, and the movement direction of the gate is perpendicular to the direction of the fluid. The gate valve can only be fully opened and fully closed, and cannot be adjusted or throttled. The gate has two sealing surfaces, and the commonly used mode of gate valve is that the two sealing surfaces form a wedge shape. The wedge angle varies depending on the valve parameters, usually 50, and is 2 ° 52 '' 'when the medium temperature is not high. Generally, gate valves are prone to water leakage and rusting. Soft sealing gate valve (elastic seat sealing gate valve), the gate material is cast iron lined with rubber, overcoming the shortcomings of ordinary gate valves such as poor sealing, elastic fatigue, and easy rusting.
The soft seal gate valve is an updated product of the traditional gate valve. It uses the gate plate made of elastic material and uses the micro deformation compensation effect produced by the elastic material to achieve a good sealing effect. Soft sealed gate valves have significant advantages such as lightweight opening and closing, reliable sealing, good elastic memory, and long service life. The gate plate of the hard sealing face gate valve is made of cast iron or stainless steel, with small opening and closing resistance and no flow resistance, but the sealing performance is poor. The difference between soft sealing gate valves is that the sealing surface of the gate plate is different.
