Routine protection and maintenance of electric valves

 

1. Electric valves should be stored indoors in a dry and ventilated area, with both ends of the passage blocked.

 

2. Electric valves stored for a long time should be inspected regularly, with dirt removed and anti-rust oil applied to the machined surface.

 

After the equipment is installed, it should be inspected regularly. The key inspection items are:

 

(1) Wear condition of the sealing surface.

 

(2) The wear condition of the trapezoidal thread on the valve stem and valve stem nut.

 

(3) Check whether the filler has expired or become ineffective. If it is damaged, replace it promptly.

 

(4) After the maintenance and assembly of electric valves, a sealing function test should be conducted.

 

The electric valve in operation should have all valve components complete and intact. The flange threads and bolts on the bracket must not be missing, and the threads should be intact without any signs of loosening. If the fastening nut on the handwheel is found to be loose, it should be tightened promptly to avoid wear at the connection or loss of the handwheel and nameplate. If the handwheel is lost, it is not allowed to be replaced with a monkey wrench; it should be promptly replenished. The packing gland must not be skewed or have no pre-tightening gap. For electric valves in environments that are easily contaminated by rain, snow, dust, sand, and other pollutants, their valve stems should be equipped with protective covers. The scale on the electric valve should be kept complete, accurate, and clear. The lead seal, cap, pneumatic accessories, etc. of the electric valve should be complete and intact. The insulation jacket should be free of depressions and cracks.
